ON COMMUNICATION, EXCHANGE AND PARTICIPATION
Today’s architecture is expected to respond to an increasing array of environmental, social, cultural and political challenges. This growing societal focus is bringing forth a new understanding of how architecture is discussed, how it’s produced and on which areas it has an effect. Through three themes, communication, exchange and participation, the National Association of Norwegian Architects 100th anniversary conference will shed light on new types of architectural responses, not focusing on appearance but architecture’s ability perform.
The conference will bring forward architects, researchers and others who are expanding the way architecture is communicated, produced and exchanged. By presenting innovative projects and discussing new approaches, this year’s contributors will share their visions on how the architects of tomorrow can put new knowledge into form that gives architecture the relevance and effect the society of today and tomorrow needs.
